National Director of Business Development – Power Distribution

National Director of Business Development – Power Distribution focused on the areas below.

 

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for developing and growing the Market Sector by creating new business opportunities and managing relationships with clients, key partners, project managers, engineers, frontline construction crews, owners, and agencies.
  • Strategic planning (vision, mission, structure) for Market Sector. Perform financial evaluation, budgeting, and forecasting for Market Sector.
  • Identify and cultivate key teaming partner relationships with industry professionals to generate new business and project opportunities. Identify and meet with potential acquisition targets. Coordinate with Operations to provide clients with timely proposals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and expand the company’s footprint in the Power Distribution marketplace and build positive top of mind awareness.
  • Engage in industry events and other meetings to stay current with market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects. Attend and host client meetings, trade shows, business development meetings and other miscellaneous industry-related events.
  • Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators as part of the management team.
  • Drive project-based quality, continuous improvement and execution standards in coordination with field support teams. Promote and maintain a culture of high responsiveness, customer service, quality, and safety.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering required with 8+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in the Power Distribution and marine market, with a successful track record of building relationships.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Management experience required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
